8 Bars To Visit Superbowl Sunday From A New York Limo

January 30th, 2012

Here we are 6 days away from the big showdown between the Giants and the Patriots. Everyone is getting pumped for the big game and trying to figure out what they are going to do. Maybe you want to just hang with some friends or go to a party. If you are in New York and are still on the edge or trying to find somewhere to go here is a small list of sports bars from a New York Limousine Service.

The sports bar Redemption is a great location for the Super Bowl. Being served by the “sexy referees” is no small reason to check this locale out. There will be many drink and food specials as well as giveaways! Don’t forget your reservations, emailed to events@redemptionnyc.com.

Southern Hospitality is a fantastic place to watch the big showdown. With 14 HD TV’s and a jumbo projection screen you are sure to be able to see the game. Free Big Blue shots are given out every time the Giants score and even just for showing up in Giants gear. Not to mention for 80$ per person you can get access to the top shelf open bar from kick off till the game is over along side a family-style dinner and garneted seating.

Next up is Foley’s Pub, Duke Castiglione’s favorite sports bar and recommended place to hang out with serious fans and athletes. Here’s hoping you don’t prefer Sam Adams though as Foley’s has banned to drink for the day to show support for the Giants by forbidding the Boston based beverage.

Mudville 9 is a renown 30 year old sports bar that is rocking 25 flat screens and 2 huge dropdown HD projectors. Not only is this a great place to watch the game, but they have their killer Mudville’s Famous Wings. You can order the wings to enjoy at home as well if that is what you prefer.

Yotel is throwing an epic party to celebrate the showdown. $49 will get you unlimited chicken wings, sliders and fries, grilled pork spare ribs, draft beers, Manning Margaritas and Bloody Brady Sangrias. What a great deal! You can even reserve a Private Club Cabin for 8-20 of your friends to hang out!

Ship of fools is an Upper East Side bar that is sporting 42 screens for you viewing entertainment. Its regulars swear that reservations for the front room are the best way to enjoy game day.

Blondies Sports Bar is recommended by Castiglione as the best Upper West Side bar. Blondies offers a home away from home for Steelers fast as well as MSU, OSU, and Penn State fans. You can call in to make reservations to ensure you have a seat on game day.

Park Avenue Tavern is New York City’s first restaurant and bar that features a self-serve tap system. This is a great place to just hang out with the friends around a beer tap and watch the game from the 5 flat screens!

It’s going to be a great Super Bowl this year despite the top 3 teams from the playoffs are not present. If you are in NYC and looking for a place to stay try out one of these great bars and have a great time with your friends. So from a New York Limousine Service have a great Super Bowl and Go Giants!

Tips To Enjoying Restaurant Week In NYC

January 23rd, 2012

Restaurant Week is a 2 month even that happens twice a year. This year it’s the celebration of the 20th anniversary. It offers the chance to dine at some of New York City’s finest destinations. Restaurants all over the city are participating, offering a three course lunch for only $24.07. While this may seem a lot it is actually a rather large discount for the restaurants you can visit. It’s a great time to try new restaurants without it costing an arm and a leg. We will go over some tips that will help you make the most of Restaurant week.

Remember to dress well, while it can be saddening, the truth is that going to a restaurant looking like a slob means that is what you will be treated like. You don’t have to go all out but put in a little extra effort.

Be sure to put in your reservations early. Popular choices can be booked quickly so be sure to call early or you can use sites like Opentable.com. As a rule of thumb, it’s easier to get in earlier in the week rather than Thursday and Friday.

Most restaurants during restaurant week offer 5 or fewer meal choices so go with an open mind. If you are a picky eater trying to find something from the limited menus may not be the best option.

Be selective about your choice. Check out the Recommended Restaurant Week Restaurant Week Restaurants or various websites like chowhound.com. Ask around among your friends and family and see what their experiences were like. Keep in mind that some restaurants can be fantastic all year but tank it during Restaurant Week.

Remember to look at the restaurant’s websites. If you are interested in a specific restaurant it doesn’t hurt to see if they are participating in the even and be sure to look and see if the discount is really a discount. The meal doesn’t involve drinks so if the meal is usually less that $24.07 chances are it’s not worth it.

Be sure to understand what the prices are. Lunch is a set $24.07 and dinner is $35, as mentioned above this does not cover drinks. The Drinks can be costly so don’t be afraid to order tap water. Also be sure to make sure you are not paying more than what the dish is usually worth with the discount.

Remember to tip your server well. Just because the cost of the meal has gone down doesn’t mean that the rent they have to pay is reduced as well. This is also a great way to work towards dispelling the stigma on Restaurant Week diners being cheap and not understanding proper tipping etiquette.

Cancellations happen. So don’t be disheartened if the restaurant you wanted was booked, it is not uncommon for people to fail to confirm their reservation if their schedule gets too busy. So be sure to call in the morning and check for opened availability.

When you book a reservation can be important. If you want to finish your lunch in an hour you may be better off going at noon. Where if you are looking to linger a bit you are better off trying closer to 2 p.m.

Curb your expectations. It is Restaurant Week so keep in mind that you are likely to be offered cheaper fair as opposed to the signature dishes, but you can typically order what ever you want at full price if you really want to try it. The restaurants also tend to squeeze tables in to make up for the reduced income so things can be a little tight.

Restaurant week is a great time to try out restaurants you wouldn’t normally eat at. It is hard to say no to good for at a reduced price. Maybe you can make it a date night and go all out with a New York Limo supplied by Gotham Limo to drive you around. So from Gotham Limos, have a wonderful restaurant week!

New Years Resolution Ideas from a New York Limo Service

January 4th, 2012
New Years Resolution Ideas from a New York Limo Service
The New Year is here and we all want to start it off on the right foot. Maybe you’re having a little trouble coming up with ideas or simply want to improve or change your lifestyle. Here are a few possibilities on what your New Year’s resolution might be!
Spend more time with your loved ones. Setting aside time from a busy week to spend with your family or that special someone is a wonderful way to make you happier and feel good.
Boost your confidence. A good resolution for 2012 is to enhance your social skills through your confidence. Self esteem is something that many wish to work on and there is no better time than now to get started. It’s also a great way to improve on the foundation of your future.
Eat healthier food. Avoiding fast food is a great thing and with that comes improved health and probably some weight loss. Start cooking at home and work in those greens. Remember everything in moderation.
Learn to cook. Building upon eating healthier, learning to cook things that are better for you is great as well. Nothing beats a home cooked meal. As a recommended skill to learn and enhance this is all around a great option.
Quit smoking. Maybe you have been telling yourself you’re going to quit for a while. Take the plunge in 2012 before it’s too late. Aside from the obvious health issues with smoking it is also expensive. Quitting will open up some spending money or make paying those bills a bit easier.
Stay happy. Many people believe that childhood is the only period in life where you can be really happy. This isn’t really true. As we grow up we tend to forget to be happy. Everything in life is more tolerable when you are happy. If a job is making you unhappy, try and find a new one that will lead to mental relaxation and a bit more happiness. Take a little time out of your busy schedule to do something that makes you happy. Even if you have to make time, it’s worth it.
Lose weight. A large percentage of Americans are overweight. It never hurts to lose a bit more. The important thing to remember is that being fit makes your feel better and happier. It doesn’t take much; simple things like walking a few miles a few times a week and drinking enough water can be enough to get the results. Watching what you eat and how much, our bodies can only take in so much food and we tend to eat more than we need.
Learn something new. Maybe you are considering a career change or just want to learn a new language. Education is one of the easiest resolutions to keep and is one of the most beneficial. Whether you take a course or just read a book find something that interests you.
With these few ideas for a New Years Resolution you can get a great start to 2012. Tell yourself that it will be a great year and make it so. From a New York Limo Service have a Happy New Year and best wishes in 2012.

Taking Your New York Limo Out Into the Bronx

December 5th, 2011

So you’re wondering what you can do in Bronx with a New York Limo? How about you load it up with friends and family and take a day trip out into the city. With all the stuff to do making a decision can be difficult so what we are going to do is narrow the choices down into 3 easy steps. We will be going over places to get some lunch, a fun activity for the day, and places to go during the evening for some fun. So call up you New York Limo and get this day of fun going.

First on our list is finding someplace to go for lunch, which is rather challenging in a city with so many options. First off check out Bruckner Bar & Grill, with a focus on American food and breakfast this joint is perfect for an early or late lunch. With a positive atmosphere this place can be the best option for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even after work drinks. If you’re a sushi person then take a look at Palace of Japan Restaurant. With some recent renovations the palace has improved greatly and its food is fantastic. If Italian is more your thing then try Beccofino Restaurant. With fantastic seafood and cuisine in general this place is to die for. Not only that the Chef likes to come out and greet customers, what says we care more than that? These are all great choices and there are many more so don’t be discouraged if these aren’t for you.

Now lunch is out of the way and you’re thinking about what you’re going to do for the day. Maybe you’re a Yankee fan? Grab some tickets and go to a game, they are local and a baseball game is a great way to spend the day. If baseball isn’t your thing, check out the Bronx Zoo. As one of the best zoological parks in the world there will be something there for everyone. It’s a great place to go with friends or family. Another good choice is a trip to The New York Botanical Garden. A fantastic staff mixed with beautiful landscape makes this an ideal choice for an excursion.
