That time of the year is here yet again, the World Science Festival is currently taking place May 29 thru June 2. The festival occurs annually and is organized by the Science Festival Foundation headquartered in New York City. It was created for the purpose of promoting science innovations to the general public and showing people about the newest inventions in science today. The event, which is hailed as “new cultural institution” by The New York Times, is occurring in the Big Apple and this year the festival is showcasing the latest in science for the world to see.
The sixth World Science Festival opened up Wednesday with a great night of science and art. This was a great opportunity for the general public to be exposed to some creative and interactive lectures about some of the basic foundations of science that have helped create all the technological advances we have today. This year’s shows include everything from quantum mechanics to lectures about insects having sex. Some of the world’s leading scientists will also be attending various events to share exciting new discoveries made in recent years as well as others that are hoped to be introduced in future years.
The festival is a great opportunity for everyone to come and learn more about the wonders and marvels of science. Students, teachers, and any else that is curious to see how the world around us works is invited to go to any of the exhibitions in the next few days. Scientists and other people involved in the festival are more than willing to teach the public about their research and to educate everyone about the importance of science and how it links to everyone today. Tickers are still being sold online, various shows have already being sold out, so it is important to buy them immediately.
The festival itself has been running for about ten years by Brian Green, being one of the most beneficial and educative events of the year. The city of New York is vibrant with more than just lights this week, it is has the power of science now.
