New York City Airport – Transportation

Post 110 of 142

Renting a car in New York City is really unnecessary. Traveling from the airport to your hotel room an back is a different story altogether. You’re going to need to spend some planning your trips backs and forth. That’s where Gotham Limo comes in.

Of course there are other solutions than private cars and limousines but why not ride in style? You’re spent the time, effort and money to visit our great city so check us out before you decide to choose a different route.

Here’s a little information about the other service available.

Subways and Public Buses: In an article published in the New York Times they say it’s best to stay away from the MTA when traveling to and from the airport. The said you may save a few dollars but subways and buses usually require multiple transfers which require you to tote your baggage up and down stairs in order to meet your next transfer. Additional they say that some subway trips will force you to travel through undesirable neighborhood

Additionally, it’s also nearly impossible to cart luggage or bring children with you on a subway. And do not use this method of travel if your traveling at night or early morning as it’s not a very safe means of travel

Advantage – Limo vs. Subway/Bus: Winner = Limo!
Taxis: Recent rate hikes should make you look at alternate travel methods (limousines) since it makes more since to ride in style and have better control over you travel plans. Catching a taxi in New York City can be difficult from time to time and you never want to be late for your flight. More taxi fares do not include tolls or tips which can be costly.

Additionally, a taxi can only accommodate up to four passengers so if there are more than four people in your party you’ll need to hire an additional taxi. There is a surcharge on some taxi’s depending on the time of day and the company you travel with.

Advantage – Limo vs. Taxi: Winner = Limo!

Buses and Shuttles: While they can be comfortable they are often time consuming. Both shuttles and buses try and accommodate as many passengers as possible so if you’re in a hurry you may not want to chose this option. While this option might be a slight cheaper than a taxi or limo it’s simply not as fun, private or efficient as the limo

Advantage – Limo vs. Bus/Shuttle: Winner = Limo!

Limousines: Private cars and limousines provide the most convenience of any form of travel offering a 24 hour door to door service whether it be from airport to hotel/destination or hotel to airport. The obvious advantage is your ability to pre-arrange your pickup and arrive when you want with delay or hassle.

Rates are certainly reasonable and one other advantage is that if you happen to be stuck in traffic you’re not subject to a taxi meter which can cause the cost of your trip to skyrocket

Advantage – Limo vs. everything else: Winner = Limo!
