October Activities To Enjoy With The Family And A New York Limo

Halloween is a great holiday to have some fun with the family in New York City. There are many family activities happening in the next few days and even more taking place over the weekend. The New York Botanical Garden is celebrating the holidays with their Haunted Pumpkin Garden. This is great fun for all ages and is open most days. You can see the garden filled with intricately carved pumpkin art. There are numerous activities at the Botanical Gardens for the young ones as well if you need something to do.

For the young children there is a Not-So-Scary Halloween Playground Bash at Samuel Seabury Playground in Manhattan. This event is a time where children will be able to play with ghosts, goblins, spiders and many other costumed critters in the playground.

Weekend

The Enchanted Wave Hill Weekend Event will be taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Your little ones will be able to visit the Enchanted Wave Hill and construct a small house out of sticks and leaves for the fabled woodland fairies. You will also be treated to the great storyteller Rama Mandel as he shares fantastical stories or paint with the artist Janice Patrignani as she creates the wondrous setting for your activities. Admission is free all weekend.

There is a Halloween Festival at the Brookville Playground in Queens on Saturday only from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Here you can enjoy a free afternoon of holiday spirit with themed crafts, inflatables, games, face painting, and more. There are also free pumpkins available while supplies last.

Another Saturday only festival is taking place at the Parade Grounds also in Queens. This event features rides, games, crafts, hay rides, a costume contest, goodie bags, a pumpkin patch and much more. This one is also free and takes place between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Both days this weekend will feature the Pick Your Own Pumpkin activities at the Queens County Farm Museum. You can enjoy the autumn air as you search for the perfect pumpkin with your family. The prices for pumpkins vary according to size.
