Who was Cristoforo Colombo?

You may know him better as: Cristofor Colom (Catalan), Cristobal Colon (Spanish), Cristovao Colombo (Portuguese) or Christophorus Columbus (Latin)… or better yet, simply Christopher Columbus? (BTW, the first version of his name was Italian, and yes, he used all of his names).
Okay. So, most of us reading probably didn’t know his name is 5 different languages, I didn’t either, so, I looked them up and pasted them here. But, to New Yorkers, we don’t really ask what Christopher Columbus did, don’t really talk about him “sailing the ocean blue”… but, we do have a connection to the man credited with finding the greatest region earth. We celebrate Columbus finding the Americas though one of the best parades of the year – The Annual Columbus Day Parade in October. Annually, over 35,000 of us come together (since 1929) and have a reason (although we don’t need one) to have a good time.
So, Gotham Limo is going to help you have a great weekend. Let’s look at a checklist so far for Columbus Day:
1) Parade
2) Root Beer
3) Time off of work
All amazing things… except for the fact you forgot one important component: transportation!
So here’s our idea: get a group of friends together (a), get a nice limo (b1), or hummer limousine (b2), or Escalade limo (b3)… I think you get the point… and have a great time (c). You’d be pretty amazed that if you take all the money you and your friends would spend on taxis and take the limo, you’d end up actually saving money – oh – and you don’t have to deal with the smells of a taxi. Who can beat that?
Coming to NYC from out of town? Why not treat yourself to see the city in style? Come see the parade and take a tour of the city while you’re hear. Central Park is beautiful this time of year.
