Visiting New York In October With A New York Limo

If you are thinking about planning a trip to New York City, now is the best time. October is a beautiful and event month in the Big Apple and there is no substitute for it. The leaves start to change colors in the most beautiful way. Some great seasonal activities are hiking, attending festivles,  fishing, music and theater. Hiking

With all of the color changes to the foliage it is hard to pass up some scenic hiking. The Catskill Mountian is a great way to experience this wonderous event. There is a trail that connects to the Appalachian trail that is hard to pass up. You can access this thought the Bear Mountain state park as well. Another great spot is the Allegany State Park. This is New York’s largest park and has many miles of hiking trails available to you. Festivals

New York City is a great town full of awesome festivals. With a New York Limo you can even hit multiple over the course of your stay. There are numerous food and farm festivals such as the Food and Wine Festival that takes place every year. This particular event is ticketed so if you are interested make sure that you buy them ahead of time. If you prefer a small town feel the New York State Sheep and Wool Festival is located at Rhinebeck’s Dutchess County Fairgrounds. You can play with cuddly sheep, buy hand-made wool products, and even view a contest called the “leaping llama” contest. This is great for a family friendly activitiy as it sports a petting zoo and kiddie rides.

Fishing

New York has many fantastic fishing lakes available to it for those who wish to relax on the water. You can go salt water fishing at Long Island where you can find Atlantic fishing ships and charter yourself a guide. Blackfish season starts in October so it is the perfect time if you are a fan. If fresh water is more your style there is fresh water fishing at many lakes including Lake Chautauqua. This lake is famous for its bass fishing. It is important to remember that you need to get a fishing liscense regardless of where you are going to fish, so don’t forget.

Music

The CMJ Music and Film Festival will be happening during this eventful month and anyone who enjoys theater and music should plan their trip, hire a New York Limo and enjoy the experience. CMJ is New Yorks largest music festival and is quickly becoming an important destination for film lovers. You can meet hundreds of independant artists as well as world famous entertainers.

Theater

If you are in town and the weather takes a turn for the worse, do not fret as there is always an alternative. New York in general is famous for its theater, but October brings a bit more into the mix. There is a three week festival that will be in full blast until mid-October. This is a must see if you enjoy theater.

New York City is a wonderful place to visit throughout the year, but many New Yorkers particularly love October. It is said to be the most enjoyable time of the year to visit the Big Apple.
